Michael Trent Reznor (born May 17, 1965), is an American singer-songwriter, record producer, and film score composer. His best known work is in industrial rock project Nine Inch Nails, on which Reznor writes all songs and records all or most instruments on studio (until 2016, when Atticus Ross became the second official member of NIN) – live, he’s accompanied by a backing band. He’s also a part of How to Destroy Angels, the band of his wife Mariqueen Maandig, Ross and Rob Sheridan. His first soundtrack was for the 1997 video game Quake; working with Ross, who is a fellow composer/producer, Reznor has scored every David Fincher film since The Social Network (2010), which gave him an Academy Award. Reznor and Ross have won many awards for their film scores since.
