About Tré Cool

Frank Edwin Wright III is a German-born American drummer, most known for drumming in the punk-rock band Green Day. He joined the band in 1990, replacing the former drummer John Kiffmeyer. Tré has also played with some other punk bands such as The Lookouts and Samiam.

In his career, he has won ‘Best Punk Drummer’ in DRUM! Magazine’s 2011 Drummies and has also been ranked #2 in ‘Best Punk Drummers of All Time’ by LA Weekly.
