Rising up out of Los Angeles, Traetwothree pays homage to his roots both musically and by his name (TRAE = 3, & TWOTHREE = 23, forming the combination 323 and equaling the LA area code).

Despite his parents' divorce, spirituality was instilled, and music was encouraged. Musically inclined since young, Traetwothree first honed his skills with instruments (saxophone) then eventually picked up a microphone and invested into Pro Tools at 16 years old. While working a part-time job, he described his run-in with Ncredible Entertainment team members as a chance encounter. Both parties sparked conversation and after a demo hearing [by Ncredible Ent. members], Traetwothree received a studio invite. 3 months later, everything changed. In the midst of dropping music (including 4 AM in the District and his feature on High Tec) he’d gotten the attention of Nick Cannon and ART@WAR label head James McMillian; a deal was struck afterwards.

Inspired by artists like Tyrese, David Sanborn, Drake, Tank, Erykah Badu, Nipsey Hussle, J. Cole, The Isley Brothers, and more, Traetwotree describes his music/sound as an unheard and unseen vision of his hometown, and similar to South Central at nighttime. He goes on to say:

“My music sounds like South Central at nighttime. That’s the vibe I want to give people. If I’m going out after dark, I’m linking up with the homies and maybe some girls. We’re hanging out and living. It’s a different perspective. I’m not just singing about the streets. To me, it’s all love.”

Traetwothree’s highly anticipated debut mixtape, Out the District was released on July 27, 2022. The project consists of lead singles like “710” featuring DW Flame, “Stuck In My Ways” featuring Blueface, and “Worth It” featuring DDG
