Toy Love was a New Zealand new wave/punk rock band that pioneered the Dunedin sound, a style of indie music that originated in New Zealand in the 1980s. The members, who formed the band in 1978, were Chris Knox, Alec Bathgate, Paul Kean, Jane Walker, and Mike Dooley. When Toy Love split up in 1980, Bathgate and Knox formed Tall Dwarfs, while Kean joined The Bats.
