About Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs

Son of English music theorist and conductor Edward Higginbottom, Orlando Tobias Edward Higginbottom became interested in electronic music in his early teens by borrowing audio tapes from his big brother.

Orlando started experimenting with music production until 2004, when he began using the moniker Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, a name he explained as

Something that couldn’t be cool, couldn’t be put into some kind of scene that gets hip for six months and then falls out of fashion.

Five years later, in 2009, Orlando released his first EP, All In One Sixty Dancehalls under Joe Goddard’s record label, Greco-Roman. His debut album, Trouble, was later released in 2012.
