Ciro Zizzo as Total Toly

Born in Palermo, Italy, grew up in Rome, where his parents open a theater-restaurant. He is a constant guest at the rehearsals of the artists performing there. When one day he wins over the audience with numbers he has written himself and rehearsed in secret, the family gives up trying to inspire him to take up a “serious” profession.
Studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome: design for costume/stage and art illustrations. Along the way, training in singing and dancing.
Appearances in TV shows, several film roles and two major Italian fashion shows follow before he gets a role in an off-Broadway musical in New York in the summer of ‘85.
There, record producer Tess, better known as performer Fancy, discovers him during his American tour. He takes him to Munich and produces Total Toly’s first single, “Oriental Acupuncture”, in his Hurricane studio.

I was born in Villafrati – Palermo and I always bring inside me the passion, the light and color of my Sicily. After my studies, motivated by curiosity to know the world, I left Sicily. I lived about 25 years in USA – New York, Miami, Los Angeles – and in Germany too. Today I’m based in Milan, but I’m always on the go: United States, Germany, and all Northern Europe.
My work not only consists of black and white or color photos, but also includes prints that are personalized with my personal artistic technique. My work goes beyond the traditional standards of photography, thanks to this I have had the opportunity to work with international designers, art galleries and important fashion magazine.
