Torche is an American stoner rock/sludge metal band from Miami, Florida. Formed in 2004 by vocalist and guitarist Steve Brooks, guitarist Juan Montoya, bassist Jonathan Nuñez, and drummer Rick Smith, they released 2 studio albums (a self-titled debut in 2005, and Meanderthal 3 years later) before Montoya left the band. After 2 years of touring as a 3-piece, Torche hired guitarist Andrew Elstner to replace Montoya, and released 2 more albums (Harmonicraft and Restarter) before Elstner’s departure in 2016.
