Toni Estes is a singer/songwriter best known for co-penning the 1999 hit song “It’s Not Right But It’s Okay” for Whitney Houston’s My Love Is Your Love album. The song reached the top 10 on three Billboard charts in the the US alone (#4 Pop, #7 R&B, and #1 Dance). Estes also co-wrote two other songs on that album, including “If I Told You That” which would be re-made as a duet with George Michael in 2000.
Estes parlayed her success as a songwriter into a solo recording deal with Priority Records. Her debut album Two Eleven boasted contributions from a who’s-who in R&B including Warryn Campbell, Teddy Bishop, Teddy Riley, JoiStarr, and Tank.
