Born and raised in Hamburg’s so-called Speckgütel, he moved to the then music capital Hamburg in his early twenties to expand his circle of musicians and to gather new inspiration.

The German singer, songwriter, producer, guitarist, mixing and mastering engineer has started playing in bands and writing his own songs in his early age. The style went from Rock to Hip Hop to Pop and everything in between. Since 2020 Tonee is deep into Afropop and is working mostly with African artists around the world while he sticks to his German language on his international features. His sound can best be described as a mixture of Afro, Urban and Pop.
