Tom Searle

Tom Searle was the guitarist of the UK based metalcore band Architects. He was a member of the band along with his twin brother Dan from 2004 until his death in 2016 from a 3-year struggle with melanoma.

Searle was the primary composer for the band, and was given creative control of writing lyrics during Lost Forever // Lost Together and All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us, as vocalist Sam Carter greatly appreciated Tom’s lyricism.

Tom Searle passed away at the age of 28 on 20 August 2016. While his condition wasn’t made public, Searle made subtle references in songs such as “C.A.N.C.E.R.,” “Gone With The Wind,” and “Memento Mori.”
