Tom Parker (August 4, 1988 – March 30, 2022) was an English singer-songwriter, originally born in Bolton, United Kingdom. Parker gained the most notoriety during his time as a member of the British-Irish band, The Wanted, of whom released their debut self-titled album on October 22, 2010. The band would continue to released two more albums of new material: Battleground (2011) and Word of Mouth (2013), before taking a hiatus in 2014. After the hiatus was announced, Parker embarked on a solo career, and featured on Richard Rawson’s song “Fireflies”, which was released in 2014.
On August 2019, it was revealed Parker as a member of the music duo Lost + Found with fellow English musician Ollie Marland. They released their debut single “We Belong Together” on August 2, 2019. They would continue to release more music, such as “Tonight” in 2020, and “Searching” in 2021.
On October 20, 2020, Parker revealed his inoperable brain tumor diagnosis for the firs time. On September 20, 2021, Parker reunited with The Wanted at a charity event, performing together there for the first time since the hiatus in 2014. On November 12, 2021, the band released their first greatest hits album on November 12, 2021. A tour was announced for 2022 through their official website, with no dates confirmed as of late.
On March 30, 2022, Parker died at the age of 33 due to his complications from brain cancer. Parker leaves behind his wife, Kelsey Hardwick, as well as his 2-year-old daughter, Aurelia, and 16-month-old son, Bodhi.
