Tomas Enrique Araya mostly known as Tom Araya is an American-Chilean musician born in June 6, 1961 Valparaíso Region, Chile. He traveled to US with his parents when was child age. He was the singer and bass player of American Bay Area Thrash Metal band Slayer since 1983 until band closed in 2019.
During the time that band was active, Araya wrote some iconic lyrics for songs such as Seasons In The Abyss, Mandatory Suicide, Dead Skin Mask and couple more. His lyrics theme mostly was about serial killers and war. Two songs [Eyes Of The Insane, Final Six] that brought two Grammy Award for band was lyrically written by Araya.
