Born in Cambridge, minimalist composer and recording artist Tom Adams is now making music based in Berlin. Tom Adams began garnering attention for remixing Max Richter pieces and scoring Universal Pictures' The Knife That Killed Me before being signed to Kowloon Records.
Adam’s debut record, Silence, received a lot of praise from NPR music including earning a spot as Bob Boilen’s 6th favorite album of 2017. Boilen said of Silence:
“When I listen to it, something I’ve done often this year, the world seems to shift. This poignant, atmospheric album seems to slow time, its stories become part of my landscape, details come into focus in vibrant new ways; ordinary objects along my daily drive, photographs on my desk, become cinematic.”
