About Tokio Myers

Tokio Myers (Torville Jones) is a pianist and multi-instrumentalist from Kilburn in London, United Kingdom. He is best known as being the winner of the 2017 series of Britain’s Got Talent.

After completing a scholarship at the Royal College of Music, Tokio toured with acts such as Mr. Hudson, Kanye West and the late Amy Winehouse. He later embarked on a solo journey drawing in large crowds in London’s Westfield shopping mall and Canary Wharf’s underground complex.

Following Britain’s Got Talent, Tokio appeared as one of the lead performers and producers for the re-release of the song “Bridge Over Troubled Water” by Simon & Garfunkel as part of a charity project to help fund-raise for the Grenfell Tower disaster.

He was also working with other names, such as Sevdaliza on her debut album “ISON”, which was released during his time on Britain’s Got Talent. The song in which he contributed to “Bluecid” was released as a single from her album in June 2017.

Tokio released his debut single “Bloodstream” on October 13th 2017 which is a studio version of his audition performance for Britain’s Got Talent.

Tokio previously went by the name ‘DJ TokioYoYoYo’ but later decided to shorten it to Tokio and added his mother’s maiden name, Myers.
