Timothy James Arthur Wheeler, born January 4, 1977, is a North Irish vocalist, primary songwriter, and guitarist for the band Ash, which he founded as a teenager with bassist Mark Hamilton and drummer Rick McMurray.

Tim collaborated with his then girlfriend Emma-Lee Moss (stage name Emmy the Great) on several projects including Emmy the Great & Tim Wheeler Present: This is Christmas released in 2011. They broke up but continued to work shows together.

For the 2018 album from Ash, Islands, Wheeler traveled from his home in New York City to Mallorca, Santorini, and other exotic locales to deal with fresh heartache, remove distractions and find songwriting inspiration.
