Theory of a Deadman is a Canadian rock band formed in Delta, British Columbia, in 2001.
Their name comes from their song “The Last Song” (Originally titled “Theory of a Deadman”) which describes a man about to commit suicide.
In 2008, they released their third album Scars & Souvenirs, which features vocals from Chris Daughtry and Robin Diaz. The album was certified platinum in 2011. The album’s singles “Bad Girlfriend”, “All or Nothing”, and “Not Meant to Be” all made their way onto the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. The band shortened their name to Theory in 2017.
They’ve been nominated for a handful of Juno Awards and have won the ‘New Group of the Year’ award in 2003.
