Canadian singer The Weeknd and French DJ Gesaffelstein have worked together on multiple occasions.

Their first collaborations were in March 2018, when Gesaffelstein produced two songs on Abel’s EP, My Dear Melancholy,. These songs were “I Was Never There” and “Hurt You.”

In January 2019, they released their third collaboration, “Lost in the Fire,” which appeared on Gesaffelstein’s March 2019 album, Hyperion.
