The musically inclined married couple of John Dragonetti and Blake Hazard first began collaborating when mutual friends introduced the pair to each other in the heart of Boston’s music scene.

As they recorded together, they fell in love but inevitably broke up. They still recorded music independently and somehow began hearing what the other recorded: desolate songs about the breakup. Upon this, they reconciled and eventually married, ultimately becoming the Submarines.
