The Shelton Brothers were a country duo that consisted of brothers Bob and Joe Attlesey. They first recorded for the Bluebird record label in 1933 as the Lone Star Cowboys. After backing Jimmie Davis on RCA Victor, the Attlesey brothers signed with Decca Records in 1935, changing their name to The Shelton Brothers after their mother’s maiden name. They would have a productive run with Decca, cutting over 150 sides.
