About The Partridge Family

The Patridge Family was a band created for the American TV sitcom of the same name.

The band’s fictional lineup includes the characters Shirley Partridge (Shirley Jones), Keith Partridge (David Cassidy), Laurie Patridge (Susan Dey), Danny Partridge (Danny Bonaduce), Chris Partridge (Jeremy Gelbwaks/Brian Forster), and Tracy Partridge (Suzanne Crough). None of the members (Besides Shirley & Cassidy) provided any vocal or musical additions to the band.

From 1970-1973, they released 8 studio albums, 4 of which charted on the Top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the USA and Canada. Despite this, they are best remembered for their hit singles “I Think I Love You” and “Come On Get Happy!”. (The latter being the theme for the Partridge Family show)

In 1974, The Partridge Family show was cancelled by ABC-TV and the group stopped making music, other than a few “best of” albums re-released during the 1980s.
