About The Ongoing Concept

The Ongoing Concept is an American rock band primarily labeled as metalcore but known for their mix of styles, often jumping between them in mid-song. The band often creates songs by using whatever instruments they can find in their recording space, and even went so far as to build their own instruments for many of the songs on their 2015 album, Handmade.

They currently have three full length albums, under Solidstate Records, two EPs, released independently, and a third album in the works for a 2022 release.

They formerly consisted of three brothers and a family friend, Dawson Scholz (Guitar, Vocals), Kyle Scholz (Vocals), TJ Nichols (Bass), and Parker Scholz (Drums).
For their 2017 release, Places, the band changed to Dawson Scholz (Guitar, Vocals), Andy Crateau (Guitar, Vocals), Ian Nelson (Bass), and Cody Rhodes (Drums).
In 2022 the band announced they were currently working on music with the Kyle, Parker, and TJ returning along side Dawson and Andy.
