About The McCalmans

The McCalmans, also known as The Macs are a Scottish folk trio formed in 1964. Their original line-up was formed of Ian McCalman, Hamish Bayne and Derek Moffat. Hamish Bayne left the The McCalmans in 1982, to be replaced by Nick Keir. Derek Moffat passed away in 2001, and Stephen Quigg, a friend of the group who had been a regular stand-in for Derek during his illness, took his place.
