They were known for performing anarchistic stunts (pursuant to the philosophy expounded in The Illuminatus! Trilogy of books), culminating in deleting their entire back catalogue in 1992

Subsequently they have mostly engaged in esoteric art projects – which included burning 1 million pounds in profits from The KLF when an art foundation they created did not work out
