About The Karl Hendricks Trio

The Karl Hendricks Trio (also briefly known as the Karl Hendricks Rock Band) was a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania-based indie rock band, fronted by singer-songwriter Karl Hendricks. The band was at the forefront of the Pittsburgh independent music scene of the 90s, and was known for Karl’s emotional and personal lyrics, yet the band’s album art was often sprinkled with comic relief.

The band went through several line-up changes throughout its existence, and came to an end when Karl passed away in January 2017 due to oral cancer.
