The Incredible Bongo Band (also known as Michael Viner’s Incredible Bongo Band, or abbreviated to IBB) was a band formed in 1972 by the legendary Michael Viner. The band consisted of percussionist King Errisson, drummer Harvey Mason, Clavinet players Hal Blane, Jim Gordon, Ringo Starr, Mike Melovin, and Perry Botkin Jr. as the overall producer and arranger. In the time between 1972 and 1974 when the band was active, they released 2 studio albums, “Bongo Rock” in ‘73 and “The Return of the Incredible Bongo Band” in '74.
