About The Hics

The Hics are an English Electronic/Jazz band formed in London in 2012.The band members met at Pimlico School, now Pimlico Academy, while studying music there.

The Hics got their name from Hickory, the wood which drumsticks are made from.

The group was formed by Sam Paul Evans and Jacob Welsh in 2012 and was later joined by Matt Knox, Roxane Dayette, Geordan Reid-Campbell and David Turay.

The band may have disbanded due to their Saxophone player David Turay passing away in 2014 and their bass player Matt Knox left the group in late 2015.
