The Folksmen are a fictional folk trio in the manner of the Kingston Trio and similar groups. In the movie A Mighty Wind, its members—Jerry Palter (Michael McKean), Alan Barrows (Christopher Guest), and Mark (later Marta) Shubb (Harry Shearer)—have some minor hits in the 1960s and 1970s, then break up. They reunite for a concert in the film, and continue playing together thereafter.
