About The Fixx

The Fixx are an English rock band formed in London in 1979, that managed to sustain a successful career in America for several years in the early to mid 1980’s. The band’s catchy, keyboard and guitar-driven sound, with atmospheric and ambient-esque qualities helped the band become a hitmaking force in the U.S. The band’s debut Shuttered Room spawned two minor U.K. hits, “Stand or Fall” and “Red Skies”, and spent a short time in the charts. The band’s success increased with Reach the Beach. The album is the band’s most successful album, going platinum and spawning three singles, “One Thing Leads to Another”, “Saved by Zero” and “Sign of Fire”.

The band’s 1984 album Phantoms performed well on the charts, but wasn’t as successful as Reach the Beach. The band later fell into obscurity, but continues to perform to this day.
