The Films are American indie band from Charleston, South Carolina. Having met and formed in 2003 while the members were still in high school, they released their first EP Being Bored in 2007, followed by their debut album Don’t Dance Rattlesnake that same year. Before the release of Oh, Scorpio in 2009, The Films had two location shifts, the first being to Denver, Colorado, and the second being to New York City where they released the album
The Films dissolved in 2010 with the members moving on to different projects. Lead vocalist, Michael Trent, went solo and performed with the group Shovels & Rope. Bassist Jake Sinclair, is now a Grammy-nominated producer, has produced music for likes of Taylor Swift, Weezer, Panic! At The Disco, and P!nk. Guitarist, Kenneth Harris, now serves as the touring guitarist and a co-writer for Panic! At The Disco; Harris has also released solo work. Drummer, Adam C. Blake has since moved on to other unknown projects.
