The Breeders are an American alternative rock band formed in 1989 by Kim Deal of the Pixies and Tanya Donelly of Throwing Muses. Donelly left in 1992. The band has experienced a number of lineup changes; Kim Deal has been the band’s sole continual member.
Current line-up consists of Kim Deal (lead vocals, guitar), her sister Kelley Deal (lead guitar, vocals), Josephine Wiggs (bass, vocals) and Jim Macpherson (drums, percussion).
