About The Acacia Strain

The Acacia Strain is a deathcore band from Chicopee, Massachusetts, formed in 2001. The band has gone through several lineup changes and vocalist Vincent Bennett is the only current original member.

The band has released 9 full-lengths: It Comes in Waves in 2019, Gravebloom in 2017, Coma Witch in 2014, Death is the Only Mortal in 2012, Wormwood in 2010, Continent in 2008, The Dead Walk in 2006, 3750 in 2004, and …And Life is Very Long in 2002. They have also released the EPs Money for Nothing in 2013, Above/Below in 2013, as well as a split EP named The Depression Sessions together with Thy Art Is Murder and Fit for an Autopsy in 2016.

In 2020, the band gradually released a set of mini-EPs—with each piece, containing two songs, releasing each month starting in February—that together spell out the word “DECAY”, a theme that seems to be portrayed in the cover art of the EPs that together form a panorama of a lush forest gradually becoming barren and lifeless.
These EPs were combined in their 2020 album Slow Decay.
