This Academy Award-nominated actress is well known for her role as Cookie in the hit TV series Empire, however, she has moonlighted as a singer several times: once for a role in Tyler Perry’s I Can Do Bad All By Myself, famously at the Oscars when Three 6 Mafia’s “It’s Hard Out Here for a Pimp” won Best Original Song, and again on a song from Mary J. Blige’s My Life II album in 2011.
