Tapping The Vein is an industrial, gothic rock band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In November 1995, Eric Fisher, impressed by heavy music and the use of machines in music Eric began to write music with guitarist Steve Stegg and bassist Lou Louvenir. Eric then named the project Tapping The Vein. When receiving auditions for a vocalist, the band gained a third member, Heather Thompson. After recording the self-released EP Butterfly in May 1997. Tapping The Vein began appearing in local shows. Soon after, Steve and Lou decided to leave the band, and their successors were bassist Joe Rolland and guitarist Mark Burkert. Now, with new members, the band released the self-financed EP Undone in May 1999. Tapping The Vein was signed to Nuclear Blast Record’s new label Revolution Entertainment in the fall of 2000. On June 2, 2009, the band released a new CD Another Day Down on the label Dancing Ferret Discs.
