Talaat Zein (February 21, 1955 – August 14, 2011) was an Egyptian singer and actor.

Early in his career, he was the vocalist of many influential Egyptian western bands like Les Petits Chats, The Black Coats, The Dreamers & Transit Pack. He was known for his western singing style and powerful voice.

He released two albums Taala 1996 & Tiki Ta 1997.

He also had a successful acting career playing important supporting roles in Egyptian movies like Mercedes 1993, Africano 2001, Ezay El Banat Tehebak 2003, Ahlam Omrena 2005 & The Dealer 2010.

In August 14, 2011, he passed away at the age of 56 after a battle with lung cancer.
