tako (or tako.fi) is a Lo-fi artist, producer and instrumentalist based in Toronto, Canada.
In April of 2022, tako released his first single titled “Paths” in collaboration with ‘Charlee Nguyen’, a well established artist/producer in the Lo-fi scene. Since then, the two have often worked together, a total of five tracks in the month of April alone. The songs included two singles titled ‘Paths’ and ‘Vagabond’, as well as their joint EP, ‘resting in your arms’.
The EP ‘resting in your arms’ consisted of three tracks titled comforted, haven, and what the heart wants. Comforted caught the attention of several curators, resulting in a sudden popularity with tako’s first musical projects. Upon the end of 2022, tako had gone from approx. 11,000 streams (Paths) to a total over 800,000.
