Lee Tae-Min (KOR: 이태민), known mononymously as Taemin, is a South Korean singer-songwriter, dancer, and actor. He debuted as the vocalist and main dancer of K-Pop boy group SHINee in May 2008, signed under record label SM Entertainment. He is also a member of SM Entertainment’s supergroup SuperM.
Taemin released his first solo EP, Ace, in 2014 which won him first Disc Bonsang at the 2015 Golden Disk Awards. He has since released 7 Korean studio albums and 4 Japanese EPs.
Besides his contributions as a member of SHINee, Taemin has also established himself as a prominent solo artist in the K-Pop industry releasing successful singles like, “Thirsty” and “MOVE,” with the latter winning Best Dance Performance Solo Award at the 19th Mnet Asian Music Awards. In 2018, Taemin was included in the K-pop segment of NBC’s Today Show aired during the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.
