“I am a London-born, Jewish, half Iranian, a vegan and also identify as LGBT+. Growing up in the early 90’s with 3 older sisters, I grew up listening to a lot of 90’s/00 pop and R&B music. To put it bluntly – I guess I listened to whatever my sisters liked -Britney, Christina Aguilera, Backstreet Boys, Usher, Chris Brown etc. Being an overweight and in the closet child, I definitely used music as a form of escapism. The problem was that I was extremely shy and embarrassed to be open about my love for music. I guess I was too scared that I would be called gay or a girl in school. In my teens, I built a little more confidence and decided to try singing lessons. Over time, this lead to me exploring more deeply the works of iconic artist’s like Prince and Stevie Wonder. I then later introduced myself to many cool new wave R&B artists. At age 16, I wrote my first song called “Bang Bang” (don’t ask… lol), and then slowly began to meet with music producers to record and write my own original material.”
