About Sweaterbeats

Antonio Cuna, better known as Sweater Beats, is a DJ and music producer under Big Beat Records. He was born in the Philippines, but grew up in Maryland, both of which have had an impact on his music. The melding of the two cultures was described by Insomniac as “the sensuality of contemporary R&B with the immediacy of dance music.”

Some of Sweater Beats noted inspirations include producers Pharrell and Timbaland, and electronic duo Daft Punk, though he has a unique sound that cannot be directly compared to any one artist. He has collaborated with a variety of popular musicians, including: Diplo, JoJo, and Dumbfoundead. He has worked as a writer with artists such as Lizzo and Clara Mae, as well.

Sweater Beats has only released one solo EP in 2017, called For the Cold, but has also put out several singles and collaborations such as “Angels Don’t Cry” with Ellise, “Glory Days”, and “Bloom” with RKCB.
