SURL (설) is a South Korean band. Its four members include: Seol Hoseung (vocals & guitar), Kim Doyeon (guitar), Lee Hanbin (bass) and Oh Myeongsuk (drums).
The band is signed under the label ‘Happy Robot Records’, and released their debut track Stay Here (여기에 있자) in September 2018, later releasing their first EP Aren’t You?.
Since their debut, SURL has gained notoriety and positive responses amongst critics and Korean audiences, appearing at the Grand Mint Festival and winning first prize at the 2018 Shinhan Card Rookie Project. Additionally, having been featured on the popular YouTube channel 온스테이지ONSTAGE, as well as their own self-titled channel, SURL has drawn in hundreds of thousands of views, as well as notable influxes of international fans.
Surl’s discography currently consists of two EP’s, nine singles – including an English version of their popular song Cilla, feature, and a well recieved cover. Their latest projects explore new sounds and styles, including a feature from Jay Park, and an OST single for the South Korean TV series ‘Inspector Koo’.
