Sunset Shimmer is a female unicorn pony-turned-human, the main character in the Equestria Girls franchise.

Initially appearing as the main antagonist in the first movie, she fully reformed herself and became the leader of her friends throughout the series.

As the main character, Sunset has been featured in a few songs of the Equestria Girls series, whether as a sole singer or as a part of her friends and their band, The Rainbooms
