Sung is an independent recording artist and producer whose ultimately optimistic but real point of view bleeds into his signature style of racially conscious rap akin to musicians like Childish Gambino, J. Cole and Chance the Rapper. Born in Taiwan and raised in Vancouver, Sung flexed his musical muscles early, learning piano at the age of 3 and dipping his feet into the classical and jazz worlds during these formative years. A child of the 90’s, Sung spent his non-Nintendo-playing hours listening to artists like NAS, Biggie, and Tupac among others.
