Sun Amarri

Residing in Cleveland, Ohio’s east side, producer and recording artist, Sun A'marri is a Post-R&B, Post-Indie, “juxtaposition-alist”, reverb drenched, autotuned savant. Having produced and written for other artists in the city like Mina Aevum, Tahgi, Bat Boy Bankie, Ben West and Cassidy King, Sun has carved out his own mysterious corner of the Midwest music scene. For his solo music he uses distorted bass guitar, fuzzy lead guitar harmonies and OVO like lo-fi samples, as the backdrop to pop melodies that discuss inner demons, substance abuse, betrayal, redemption, strained optimism and existentialist pessimism. “Too much time in the simulation, Am I the game or am I the player?” Sun relies on making music for its cathartic and healing properties. For him, it’s a coping mechanism, one that he gets to share with the world.
