Matthew Lambert is one of the Hilltop Hoods’s two emcees, alongside MC Pressure – a group that was later joined by DJ Debris upon DJ Next’s departure in 1999.
Undoubtedly one of Australia’s best emcee’s, he’s also a pioneering Aussie Hip-Hop producer. Initially his production was primarily sample based, however he decided to recruit live musicians after collaborating with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra for The Hard Road: Restrung, not feeling as limited as he had previously.
If you’d like to see him flow for eight-minutes straight then check out “Old School Rap (500 Ft.)”, or if you’d like to hear him recount the last fifty years check out “Fifty in Five”.
