Luca Strijp, also known by his stage alias, STRIPE, is a rapper and producer from the Netherlands. He’s traveled most of the world exposing him to experiences most people won’t ever come across. His 2020 debut project SET IT FREE encapsulates Luca’s thoughts regarding himself, decisions and the people who surround him. His beginnings in music go back to his own bedroom where he started out writing and recording songs as a joke along with his friends; friends that would continue to push Luca to great lengths both artistically and personally. JC and ill mani are two of STRIPE’s friends who he frequently collaborates with as a result of their strong friendship and incomparable chemistry. His new project Sh*t Happens (That’s Life), is a deep and personal cut that dives into Luca’s thoughts as he went through the hardships of life. The album discusses moments in life where all you can do is look at that moment and say, “shit happens”. As he continues his journey overseas, STRIPE hopes to bring a new perspective to everyone who has encountered him or his music.
