Noted as one of the most influential blues revivalists of the ‘80s, Stephen Ray Vaughan was inspired by his brother Jimmie to pick up the guitar at age seven. He soon surpassed his brother in skill and moved out to Austin, TX where he played for many notable bands such as the Nightingales and the Cobras before forming his own band, Double Trouble. SRV received many awards, in life and posthumous, for his contribution to the blues rock scene. The gone but not forgotten left a mark in this world to inspire generations of guitar players.
