Stephanie Lynn “Stevie” Nicks (born 26 May 1948) is a singer-songwriter, best known for her work with Fleetwood Mac and a successful solo career. Between the two, she’s produced over forty Top 50 hits and sold well over 140 million albums. Rolling Stone named her in the “100 Greatest Singers of All Time”, and she’s been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In addition to her Fleetwood Mac work, she’s released eight solo albums. She is touring in 2015 with Fleetwood Mac.
Diminutive at just 5' 1", she has a reputation as a strumpet, practicing witch and cocaine addict. She’s been clean and sober for years now and insists the witchcraft thing was just media hype. As for the strumpet thing, there’s an old saying: “Judge not, lest you be judged more harshly”.
Of her life choices (being single and childless), she said this:
When you’re rich and famous you are the dominant force in a relationship, even if you try hard not to be. I’ve talked of sacrificing everything for Fleetwood Mac, but I realize now that it is simply the only thing I’ve ever wanted to do."
