Steve Di Giorgio (born in Waukegan, Illinois on November 7th, 1967) is an American musician. He is best known for playing bass guitar in heavy metal and extreme metal bands.
He is a founding member of Sadus. Di Giorgio is also worked with numerous acts such as Death, Testament, Megadeth, Autopsy, Iced Earth, Control Denied, and many others. He has performed on over 50 albums as a guest, session, or full-time band musician.
Di Giorgio is widely credited with being the first bassist to bring fretless bass playing into heavy metal genres. He has stated that his main influences as a bassist are Chris Squire, Geddy Lee, Dave Pegg, Steve Harris, Geezer Butler, Charles Meeks, Billy Sheehan.
