Stephen Barker Liles, born January 24, 1984 in Nashville, Tennessee, is an American singer-songwriter part of the American country music group Love and Theft alongside Eric Gunderson, the two of whom alternated as lead singers and acoustic guitarists.
Love and Theft were signed as an opening act for Taylor Swift’s Fearless tour in 2008, and he is the subject of her song, “Hey Stephen.”
In 2011, Love and Theft released the single “Angel Eyes”, which became their first number 1 single. It and the Top 40 singles “Runnin' Out of Air” and “If You Ever Get Lonely” all appear on their second, self-titled album.
Liles married his wife Jenna Michelle Kennedy in 2014.
