Stars (often stylized “STARS”) is a Canadian indie pop band formed initially by male lead Torquil Campbell and Christopher Seligman in 1999-2000, when the two began producing Nightsongs.
Later on, bass player and childhood friend Evan Cranley joined Stars. Cranley recruited female lead Amy Millan soon after. In Montreal, they met and recruited Patrick McGee.
The band founded the independent record label “Arts & Crafts Productions” in 2003.
