About Squale

From aimless soul to mellifluous multi-platinum producer and recording artist, Squale started his journey with music in the field of audio engineering under the pseudonym Chef Pasquale. Born to the name Cameron Shaikh, a descendant of North African-Italian traditions, he has shown throughout his life to be a true testament to how far unwavering faith and determination can take you in this world.
As a rising creator, Squale spent his early years in Rockland County where the passing of his mother at the young age of five combined with a strained relationship with his father resulted in his grandparents becoming a tremendous part of his upbringing in the New York borough of Staten Island.
It was in NY where street life dominated Squale’s younger years, culminating in multiple brushes with death until he found music, allowing for him to ameliorate his goals. While studying audio engineering in school he looked to manifest his career in the industry by dialing every top recording studio in New York and landing himself an internship at one of the premier studios at the time. Squale seized this opportunity to polish his beat-making skills as he learned the music game. Here he advanced quickly from a runner to the studio manager though he was eager for more and set out on a journey to connect with his peers and to seek a greater understanding from like-minded creatives.
In 2016, Squale’s faith and persistence yielded its first tangible result when he produced a Ramriddlz track, “Hey Mr.Ramrod.” The song made its way onto several celebrity social media pages including Kylie Jenner which led to a rapid spread. It was then that Squale knew he was going to make music for the rest of his life.
His name began to expand across the music industry with many wanting a “Cheffing Up Like Squale” track. From here Drake’s team requested a beat pack, which landed the hot new producer a major placement on More Life. Squale’s discography expanded to include other notable talents like Cardi B, PnB Rock, Russ, OT Genasis, Giggs, and more.
After a short hiatus, Squale has returned with both artistic and altruistic aspirations. No longer just a producer, he is now also a recording artist and active humanitarian. A percentage of the proceeds from his forthcoming debut single, “Petty” will be donated to Voices Heard Foundation, his non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for inner-city youth. Through activities such as street clean-ups, charity sports tournaments, creative labs, and school assemblies, the organization continues to affect real change in underserved communities.
From rude boy to changemaker, Squale’s triumphant journey is inspiring youth to make their dreams happen. Faith has brought the accomplished creative this far and there’s no limit to where it will take him.
